Miljøfluen® is a family run Danish company that has existed since 1993. We specialise in biological fly control.

We produce, pack, and ship biological fly control i the form of predatory flies and mini wasps from our production facilities in Northen Jutland to farmers in all of Denmark and large parts of Europe.

Biological fly control is a method in which nature’s own system (beneficial insects) is used to solve a big problem for many farms – that of unwanted flies and the negative consequences they have for the well-being of the livestock and the work environment in stables. The method is well-documented and its effect on flies has been thoroughly investigated in academia since the 1980s.

We are Danish pioneers in biological fly control, we started the production in Denmark in 1993 and have since developed our expertise greatly. We aim to be the leading partner in fly control in agriculture and that is why our concept is based around several values that support reaching this goal.

Specialists in fly control

It is mandatory to fight flies in your stable, since the law of livestock prescribes that as a farmer you must prevent and limit, among other things, the grievances caused by flies as a consequence of keeping livestock. Our goal is to help you meet that requirement.

We have through the years achived great expertise in handling problems with flies in respectively pig stables, cattle stables og horse stables and thus we know how the beneficial insects have the best chance of defeating the plague of flies – through the whole year.

We stay up-to-date with the newest stable systems and can help develop a plan of action if you are met with a demand for fly control from your municipality or the neighbours complain about flies.

We also participate in research for futher development of the use of the predatory flies and mini wasps – most recently having to do with fly problems in relation to waste management.

Free delivery plan and advice

As a customer at Miljøfluen® you will, as part of the startup a plan of action for each individual stable. This plan takes into account the type of livestock, the flooring, size and much more. Our expert consultants are ready to give advice and, together with you, find the best plan of action for your specific farm.

All startup help and advice is free of charge – you only pay for the predatory flies or mini wasps you need to keep the population of unwanted flies down. This is why the price is set once it has been agreed upon. Besides a subscription without lock-in with us can always be cancelled.
