Miljøfluen produces and delivers biological fly control in all of Denmark as well as large parts of the the North and Europe. Below you will find several examples of how predatory flies and mini wasps can be used in different types of stables.
Agnesminde – Organic cattle farm
Miljøfluen delivers biological fly control to the farm Agnesminde, which is Jan Pedersens’ organic farm in Haubro near Aars in Northern Jutland.
Jan receives mini wasps in small containers every 14. day. He uses these in his calf pens to keep the stable free of flies during the summer.
By using mini wasps to control the fly population Jan avoids unnecessary stress for the calfs. They can live stress free most of the season.
Højbogård – conventionel cattle farm
Miljøfluen visits Erik Nørbjerg in Thy, he has used biological fly control in his cattle pens since 2008.
Erik runs a conventional farm with about 200 dairy cattle and uses larvae and pupae from predatory flies, which he scatters between the grids in the floor as well as mini wasps, which he hangs near his areas with deep litter bedding. He saves time and doesn’t have to pour poison in his stables but can simply add predatory flies and mini wasps every 14. day during the fly season
TH Agro – Pig stable (Farrowing house)
Here is an example of how our predatory flies are used at på TH Agros Bjernegård in Ebberup on Funen. Bags of predatory flies are hanged in environment buckets around the stable, this allows the flies, once they hatch to fly down into the slurry channels to fight the unwanted flies.

UNO Stutteri
Miljøfluen® has visited Joan Andreasen from Stutteri Uno in Rønde near Djursland. Stutteri UNO breeds modern and renowned dressage horses.
The horse farm uses mini wasps for keeping flies out of the horse stables. These are received per subscription every 14. day. The mini wasps are natural enemies of the common house fly and the biting fly and can therefore be used to remove the unwanted flies from the stable without being harmful to neither humans nor horses.
Rosenbeck Frilandskød – Open cattle farm
Miljøfluen® delivers biological fly control for Rosenbeck Frilandskøds cattle stable, which means they avoid flies in the stables and reduce stress for the animals. They care deeply for animal welfare and this leads to Rosenbeck achieving some exceptionally delicious products. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rosenbeck Frilandskød strive to provide natural living conditions as possible for their animals throughout their lives. Their calfs spend the entire summer outside and are in open stables over winter. In the stables they use mini wasps to fight unwanted flies and to avoid using fly poison.
Hovmarksgård – pig farm
The farmer couple Kirsten og Lars Peter Simonsen, who owns Hovmarksgård in Vendsyssel, use predatory flies in their pig stables. De have no doubt about the effect. Since they have experienced the difference it makes when they had to relocate their sows to disinfect one of their stables. They cancelled their fly subscription. ”– We forgot all about the flies when the new pigs arrived, but we quickly saw that something was completely off, and we realised that we had forgotten the predatory flies, Kirsten explains. – It was completely black in there, adds Lars Peter” [..] ” “This window, it would have been black in three days if it wasn’t for the predatory flies” Lars Peter Simonsen says in the Danish article Gyllefluer på abonnement: Flueplagen holdes nede med gyllefluer in Effektivt Landbrug.
