This January 2026, Miljøfluen were SPF-approved by the Danish Agriculture and Food Counsil as a production facility for the 32end year in a row. This means that our methods for producing biological fly control meets the demands of the Danish Agriculture and Food Counsil for reducing the risk of tranferring infection.

Miljøfluen® helps set the bar

Miljøfluen® began its production of predatory flies as a means of biological fly control in Denmark in 1993. We were pioneers in the field and has since worked with SPF-Sund, to set the bar in the area. To be able to ship our products to farms with SPF-status, we have formed our ways of production to follow the infection protection rules the farms are to follow themselves. We have previously written about our effort to make sure that our production methods follows the latest demands. Miljøfluens produktion er nyttedyr er godkendt til brug i SPF-stalde.

Regular check-ups has therefore been a natural part of our work for 32 years to ensure infection protection.

As an ongioing part of our quality control a veterinarian from the Danish Agriculture and Food Counsil checks our production facilities every year. And in 2026 we were visited by senior veterinarian Jane Rasmussen. She went through our production facilities and found everything to be as is was supposed to be.
